A couple of the clips were being very difficult..
The top piece wasn't too hard you can slide it into place.
The bottom piece was the difficult one.
I had keep taking it off and re-seating it because a couple of the clips just wouldn't stay. Took like 15 minutes.

Item arrived in a fair amount of time. However, for my new 3ds non xl, it was not a snug fit on it, infact it seemed like it was just barely fitting on. I'm not sure why my case didn't work while others did for their new 3ds but for me, i had to cut off the hinges because they simply did not align at all and would pop the 3ds out of place. After snapping it off however, it remained functional, so i can't say i got the best of what i paid for, but it does the job as protecting the console. I wouldn't buy this again but if you have no other choice you can still make it work.
